Alexandria University organized under the care of Prof. Dr. Abdelaziz Konsowa, President of Alexandria University, in collaboration with Al Alfi Foundation, a one-day event to disseminate the OPPM project at Sofitel Cairo Nile El Gezirah, Zamalek, Cairo, Egypt. The event hosted a number of university officials, the health sector, and ministers who were considered policymakers in the healthcare field to acknowledge the new program.
Policymakers shape the rules and regulations that govern health. They can influence health through decisions within communities and offers an overview of the skills and knowledge, settings and sources, audiences, and communication formats that are foundational to our field.
Prof. Ahmed Wahid presented an overview of the present state of the OPPM project’s work progress while also extending a warm welcome to the participants from the various institutions and ministers. He reviewed the project’s progression during the previous months.
The dean of the faculty of pharmacy at AU, Prof. Mervat Kassem, expressed her great pleasure in the OPPM program. She affirmed the critical necessity for establishing such a rare but essential postgraduate program in pharmacogenomics.
Prof. Sahar Elgowilly, Head of the Pharmacology and Toxicology Department and the head of the AU team, exhibited the report on pharmacogenomics and Personalized medicine gap analysis.
Eng. Ahmed Gad, Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (MCIT) provided a detailed talk about e-Learning Development Guidelines.
Dr. Mohamed Nagy, Head of the Personalized Medication Management Unit and Pharmacy Specialties Section in the Children’s Cancer Hospital Egypt 57357, overviewed their plans for Project training.
Dr. Mariam Gamal El-Din, Nile University, explained the Development of the learning management system (LMS) model.
