Joint training took place at Oviedo University in Spain for Egyptian partners’ biology and engineering teams from November 8th to 10th. The training, focused on Analytical Methodologies in Systems Biology, included practical modules on ECTS application, hands-on activities such as biomolecule isolation and quantification, ONT-Nanopore sequencing, and qPCR. Sessions also covered the integration of e-labs with wet-lab instruction, discussing challenges, opportunities, and synergies. There was emphasis on metabolomics and mass spectrometry, including a visit to a Mass Spectrometry lab. The Implementation of E-labs with Unity workshop shared sessions with the Systems Biology workshop, covering VR development, Unity, scenes development, and object creation. Joint sessions between e-lab developers and wet-lab instructors enriched the schedule.
