Advancing Personalized Medicine in Egypt and Lebanon: CCHE 57357 and Al Alfi Foundation’s Third OPPM Dissemination Event

Children cancer Hospital 57357 in collaboration with Al Alfi Foundation hosted an online dissemination event, specifically designed to introduce the OPPM program to final beneficiaries in Egypt and Lebanon. It successfully attracted 106 participants, indicating strong interest and engagement from the targeted audience. This turnout underscores the relevance and anticipated impact of the OPPM program in advancing personalized medicine within the region.

The session features a series of talks on pharmacogenomics and pharmacogenetics, moderated by Dr. Mohamed Nagy, Pharmacy Director and founder of the Personalized Medicine Unit at Hospital 57357. Dr. Dalia Makhlouf, Section Head of the Personalized Medication Management Unit at Hospital 57357, introduces the field of pharmacogenomics. Prof. Mohamed H. Solayman from the German University of Cairo discusses the integration of pharmacogenetics education in pharmacy curricula. Prof. Nathalie K. Zgheib from the American University of Beirut presents on the Lebanese pharmacogenomics landscape, while Prof. Sahar El-Gowilly from Alexandria University shares insights into the Pharmaceutical Pharmacogenomics Program, highlighting its future potential.
