On May 23, 2024, the Children’s Cancer Hospital Egypt 57357 (CCHE) and Al Alfi Foundation hosted an impactful event at the Safir Cairo Hotel, drawing 81 experts, professionals, and students to explore advancements in pharmacogenomics and personalized medicine. Prof. Ahmed Wahid opened with an overview of the OPPM project, followed by Dr. Nehal Elmansoury, who highlighted the launch of new certification programs. Dr. Ahmed Hamdy discussed the integration of e-labs in the OPPM Program, and Prof. Ghada Al Kamah shared insights on rare disease genetics. Dr. Sherif Kamal emphasized value-based healthcare’s role in personalized medication. Afternoon sessions featured Dr. Ahmed Samy on pharmacogenomics in critical care and Dr. Mohamed Nagy on practical applications, enriching participants’ understanding of personalized medicine.
