An Online Meeting was held by Prof. Ahmed Wahid (AU), the project coordinator and the acting head of the Department of Pharmaceutical Biochemistry at the Faculty of Pharmacy, Alexandria University for partners from different universities and academic institutions, and non-governmental organizations (NGOs) in Egypt and Lebanon. The meeting aimed to start building the website of the OPPM project.
Prof. Amr Abdelkhalik (NU), Dean of the Biotechnology School, and Prof. Ahmed Hassan (NU), Dean of the Information Technology and Computer Science School (ITCS), shared their views of the planned OPPM website and demonstrated related examples. Dr. Ahmed Hassan (NU) clarified that the centralized website approach is easy to construct but at risk of failing sustainability while the multi-university integrated approach is of good institutionalization and promising sustainability however, difficult to construct.
Dr. Ahmed Wahid clarified that NU-mediated hosting of the website seems to be a good option for expertise and time management.
Dr. Noha Fawzy, the project coordinator of ITCT and the external reviewer of the OPPM project, explained that the website will not only provide dissemination and Learning Management System (LMS) access but also should include a portal assigned for participating partners where all of the project activities, documents, and outputs are uploaded.
Mona Al Msallam (AAF), the Project Consultant at Al Alfi Foundation, suggested that parallel alignments of activities be shared on both the website and social media platforms.
