On August 14th, the Application of Genomics and Pharmacogenomics in Cancer Certificate was offered at Alexandria University as part of the OPPM program. The certificate module introduces students to pharmacogenomics in oncology research and understanding interindividual variation in response to chemotherapeutic drugs. The certificate is offered free of charge to 32 participants who were selected from over 400 applicants from Egypt, Africa, and Arab countries.
OPPM is a consortium funded by the European education program ERASMUS+ that aims at designing the first diploma and MSc program in pharmacogenomics and personalized medicine in Egypt and the Middle East.
